    Escher's Fish and Boats is akin to Sky and Water.  This metamorphosis vignette was used to celebrate the 1948 to 1949 New Year.  The Asselberg's commissioned Escher again two years later for the unicorns tessellation, a nod to their Unicorn Press printing business.
