Escher's study of water reflection included three major artworks:  Rippled Surface, Puddle, and Three Worlds. Rippled Surface was the first and is the only one to be a mix of woodcut (the water block) and linocut (the reflected trees).  The reflected moon motif also appears in the Frog woodcut from the Emblemata series.

This iconic work is in excellent condition and it is pencil signed and annotated by Escher.
